magnify360 is currently seeking a Senior QA Engineer.

The Senior QA Engineer will play a key role in the development and testing of magnify360's behavioral targeting platform for online marketers. Working as part of a highly collaborative team, you will be responsible for leading a team of Engineers through the Quality Assurance activities of the software development lifecycle. Additionally, you will be a major contributor to internal Quality Assurance process improvement efforts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsible for the Quality Assurance process and results; especially our commitment to excellence. Manage the Product Release Cycles including the publication of new releases, minor patches and roll-backs. Work with Product Management in the high-level scoping of product enhancements. Help breakdown and plan Quality Assurance tasks and activities. Develop short and long-term testing strategies, work plans, cases and checklists. Define and implement and refine test frameworks to improve efficiency and accuracy. Perform functional, integration, system, regression, and performance testing using both black box and white box evaluation methods. Coordinate resolution of application issues across departments and development teams. Provide leadership and mentoring to junior testing resources. Cross train team members on Quality Assurance processes and expectations. Assist in departmental recruiting and mentoring activities. Must bring donuts on every third Tuesday.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • 3-5+ years hands-on web application testing
  • Must be able to work effectively in globally distributed team structures
  • Solid understanding of white box testing
  • Solid understanding of phpUnderControl
  • Solid understanding of software quality assurance principles and best practices
  • Experience implementing QA best practices from the ground up
  • Experience with one or more formal software development methodologies
  • Experience in LAMP development environments
  • Experience in Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) environments

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Prior testing experience with any of the following types of products: Behavioral Targeting, Multivariate Testing, Lead Generation, or Web Analytics
  • Experience with the implementation and usage of automated test systems
  • Experience with Performance, Stress and Load testing using automation tools
  • Formal software test training or test certification

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related fields. Other fields acceptable as long as formal testing experience requirements are met.
